Coffee Hour takes place every Sunday, after the morning
Eucharist service. Parishoners meet in the Common Room to enjoy
refreshments and fellowship. Generally, this includes hot
regular and decaf coffee, bagels and cream cheese, fresh
fruits and vegetables, cakes and cookies (for the children),
and other homebaked treats.
In Summer, Hospitality Hour is downsized but still an essential element of our Sunday congregation; our hot coffee urns are not employed, but we welcome store-bought cold iced coffee, tea, lemonade, and juice, and some crackers with cheese and a platter of fruits or vegetables.
Volunteering opportunities are plentiful and a great way to be a part of a community:
Welcome vistors with a smile and a bulletin.
Lead the Prayers of the People.
Read the Old Testament and/or New Testament reading.
Prepare the altar and items for Communion.
Assist the Priest during services, serve as lector, and guide the acolytes to ensure they serve well.
Carry the cross and candles (ages 6+).
Provide the Altar Flowers in honor or remembrance.
Set up Coffee Hour and provide the snacks.
Make a gift to support the Parish and its mission.
The Vestry directs and leads the affairs of our parish.
