We welcome your child to Sunday morning Church School classes, where children learn about the Bible, the life of Jesus, and our liturgy. Classes are taught by adult parish volunteers. Because children grow and develop in their own time, our programs are flexibly organized. Below is the approximate age and grade of children in our programs:

Ages 3 – 6

  • The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to children’s religious formation that is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Classroom is located upstairs in the classroom closest to the sanctuary and across from the sacristy.

Ages 7 – 8 (1st & 2nd Grades)

  • This group uses Gather ‘Round, an interactive, Scripture-based curriculum from Brethren Press that also centers on gratitude for the abundant bounty of God’s Creation. ¬†Classroom location is adjacent to the Nursery, across from the kitchen.

Ages 8 – 11 (grades 3 – 5)

  • This “middler” group also uses Gather ‘Round. ¬†The group meets upstairs in the Loring Room.
